Mustafa Eren Güzel, a second-year student in the Turkish Music Department of our university, was awarded FIRST PLACE by a jury of respected figures in the field in a composition competition organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism to encourage composers to create pieces in relatively rarely used modes and styles, and to add new, high-quality vocal works to the repertoire, in commemoration of the 700th anniversary of the conquest of Bursa.
