The play ‘Kara Leke’ (The Dark Stain), written by Assoc.Prof.Dr. Rüstem MÜRSELOĞLU, Chair of the Department of Performing Arts at Istanbul Medeniyet University, and directed by third-year student Kubilay ERDELİKARA from the same department, was staged on May 3, 2025. at the Turkish Hearth Stage of the Ankara State Museum of Painting and Sculpture.
Organized with the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the Presidency for Turks Abroad and Related Communities (YTB), the Union of Voluntary Educators of Ahıska, and Istanbul Medeniyet University, and supported by the IHH Humanitarian Relief Foundation and the Beyruha Association, the production was presented as a commemorative tribute marking the 80th anniversary of the Ahıska (Meskhetian) deportation, serving as a symbolic act of remembrance for the lives lost during the tragedy.
In addition to the involvement of Performing Arts Department students- Kubilay ERDELİKARA, Berat Şahin BEYOĞLU, Batuhan Yiğit ATAGÜL, Cem KAYA and Efecan KARAKAYA- the staging process also included the participation of a large team of professional contributors.
