Organized by the Visual Communication Design Department of the Faculty of Art, Design and Architecture at Istanbul Medeniyet University, the exhibition titled “3 Dots… Typography: Past, Present, Future” opened to visitors on March 13, 2026, at the Göztepe North Campus. Curated by Lecturer Dr. Serra Kızıltaş, the exhibition brings together works produced within the scope of the department’s foundational courses GIT 119 Typography 1 (Fall Semester 2024–2025) and GIT 120 Typography 2 (Spring Semester 2024–2025).
Addressing the centuries-long journey of the letter across a broad spectrum, the conceptual framework of the exhibition, “3 Dots…”, symbolizes that typography is not merely a medium of transmission but a continuously evolving mode of thought. Just as a sentence may end while its meaning continues, the exhibition highlights how letters constantly transform their forms and gain new life in every era.
Featuring the unique expressions of young designers who are beginning to shape the typography of the future, the selection leaves viewers with a single, compelling question:
Where will typography evolve in the future?
Honoring the past, questioning the present, and envisioning the visual language of the future, this meaningful journey invites all art and design enthusiasts to continue the conversation together.
